There are no entry requirements for this qualification but candidates require information technology knowledge and skills to cope with the standard of the qualification. Preferred pathways into this qualification.

For Advanced Diploma level courses, the recommended minimum level of education is diploma or equivalent qualification or relevant vocational experience.

Generally, international students need an IELTS band score of 5.5, or recognised equivalent, to demonstrate their English proficiency for directly accepted as an Advanced Diploma student by Jabin Hopkins Institute of Technology (JHIT). Alternatively, students can join in this course: having lower IELTS band score of 5.0 if they have ELICOS; having no IELTS band score if candidate have successfully completed any diploma or higher qualification in Australia.
