| Admission Requirments: | Students who have completed Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282) or equivalent program are eligible to apply for admission to this program. Students will undertake the 30 credit point dissertation in Years 3 and 4 as determined by the Program Director and subject to the following criteria:- completion of Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282) or equivalent program;
- achievement of a GPA of at least 5.5 for the second year core courses in the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282); and
- achievement of a grade of at least 5.0 in 2002HSV Human Services Research or equivalent research course.
The Program Director will take the following into consideration when assessing applications for admission:- the suitability of the proposed dissertation topic; and
- the resources available to support the candidature including availability of appropriate supervision.
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:- A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0 and
- English test results must be no more than two years old.
