    • 18 years or older at commencement of course
    Minimum English Language Requirement

    An English Language proficiency level of one of the below:

    • Certificate III in EAL / Academic IELTS band score of 5.5 or equivalent
    • Satisfactorily completed ELICOS at least to Upper Intermediate level
    • Completed equivalent of Australian Year 11 qualification from any of the English-speaking countries such as Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland
    • Completed any AQF Certificate III or higher qualification
    • Satisfactorily completed at least one semester of study in Australia in a tertiary course (satisfactorily for this purpose would mean that the applicant has completed more than 50% of the semester load)
    • Completed a Placement Test devised and administered by Rhodes College or a nominated accredited agency
    Minimum Academic Qualification Requirement

    The following core units from

    BSB41415 - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or the equivalent, must have been successfully completed:

    1. BSBWHS402 Assist with compliance with WHS laws

    2. BSBWHS403 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes

    3. BSBWHS404 - Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
    4. BSBWHS405 - Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
    5. BSBWHS406 - Assist with responding to incidents
    And in addition to the above, any one of the below:
    - Completion of senior high school to the Australian Year 12 or equivalent. Mature age students can also enter based on an interview with Rhodes College staff
