Victoria's Skilled Migration Program is currently accepting applications from both onshore and offshore candidates. The 2023-24 program for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) in Victoria has introduced a new eligibility requirement. Onshore applicants must be residing and working in regional Victoria at the time of nomination. Some outer suburbs of Melbourne are considered part of the regional zones as defined by the Department of Home Affairs.
However, there are no changes to the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) nomination program.
