Australia 190 and 491 Visa Allocation Increases for 2024-25!

Great news for aspiring immigrants! Most Australian states are set to see a significant increase in visa allocation for the 190 and 491 visa subclasses in the upcoming 2024-25 program year. This is according to data released by [relevant authority].

Key Highlights:

  • **ACT**: Increased allocation for both 190 & 491 visas. 190 jumps from 600 to 1,000, 491 from 600 to 800.

  • **NSW**: Allocation increase for both subclasses. 190 goes up from 2,650 to 3,000, and 491 rises from 1,500 to 2,000.

  • **VIC**: Similar trend, with 190 allocation increasing from 2,700 to 3,000 and 491 jumping from 600 to 2,000.

  • **SA**: SA shows a remarkable increase, with 190 visas nearly tripling from 1,100 to 3,000. However, their 491 allocation remains steady at 800 places.

  • **TAS**: TAS is another big winner, with 190 allocation more than tripling from 600 to 2,100. Their 491 allocation also sees a decent rise from 600 to 760 places.

  • **WA**: WA joins the trend with an increase for both subclasses. 190 visas go from 1,500 to 3,000, while 491 visas rise from 850 to 2,000 places.

Exceptions:

  • **QLD**: The only state with a decrease in allocation. 190 allocation drops from 900 to 600, and 491 visas also see a decline from 650 to 600 places.

  • **NT**: NT shows a mixed picture. While their 190 visa allocation sees a substantial increase from 250 to 800 places, the 491 visa allocation remains the same at 400 places.

Overall, this signals a positive shift in Australia's immigration policy, aiming to attract more skilled workers across various states.
