____________________________________________________________________On September 5, 2024, 7,973 applicants were invited to apply for the subclass 189 visa. Similar to the previous invitation round in June, there were no invitations for the subclass 491 visa under the Family Sponsored stream. This round was a surprise, as many had assumed that the next set of results would be released in December 2024.
Big Winners:
The building industry continued to dominate, with applicants from occupations such as Airconditioning and Mechanical Services Plumbers, Bricklayers, and Cabinetmakers receiving invitations with just 65 points.
Big Losers:
On the other hand, ICT experts faced a tougher competition, as the minimum points required for an invitation in this sector remained significantly high.
